Liang Wenbo, a former world number 11, has been banned for life from professional snooker for match fixing.
The 36-year-old Chinese player was found guilty of accepting £10,000 to lose frames in matches during the 2015/16 season.
He is the first player to be banned for life for match fixing in snooker.
The World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA) said that Wenbo's actions "brought the sport into disrepute".
Wenbo has apologised for his actions and said that he is "deeply sorry" for the damage he has caused to the sport.
