A section of Interstate 95 in Philadelphia collapsed early Sunday morning after a tanker truck fire, closing the major highway in both directions.
The fire started under the highway near the Woodhaven and Aramingo exits, and quickly spread to the roadway above. The collapse caused extensive damage to the highway, and it is unclear when it will be repaired.
Traffic in the area was backed up for miles, and drivers were urged to find alternate routes.
No injuries have been reported so far.
