Tyler Herro Named NBA Sixth Man of the Year | #NBA #NBASixthManAward #TylerHerro

Tyler Herro of the Miami Heat has been named the NBA Sixth Man of the Year, the league announced on Tuesday.

Herro, 22, is the first player in Heat franchise history to win the award. He averaged 20.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game off the bench this season, helping the Heat reach the Eastern Conference Finals.

Herro is the third-youngest player to win the Sixth Man of the Year award, behind Lou Williams (24 years, 197 days) and Jamal Crawford (25 years, 137 days).

In a statement, Heat President Pat Riley said, "We are thrilled for Tyler to be named the NBA Sixth Man of the Year. He has been a key part of our success this season, and his contributions have been invaluable."

Herro is the latest young star to emerge for the Heat, who are building a contender in the Eastern Conference. He joins Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo and Kyle Lowry as one of the team's leaders.

The Heat are currently facing the Boston Celtics in the Eastern Conference Finals. With Herro leading the way off the bench, Miami is hoping to reach the NBA Finals for the first time since 2014.
