Queenstown Airport to Pay Record Interim Dividend

Queenstown Airport Corporation (QAC) has announced that it will pay a record interim dividend of $0.12 per share. This is an increase of 10% on the previous interim dividend. The dividend will be paid on 15 June 2023 to shareholders on the register at 31 May 2023.

The record interim dividend is a result of the strong financial performance of QAC in the first half of the financial year. The company's revenue increased by 14% to $187 million, and its profit before tax increased by 17% to $52 million.

QAC's CEO, Nick Sargent, said that the company was pleased with its financial performance. "We are continuing to see strong passenger growth," he said. "In the first half of the financial year, we welcomed 1.6 million passengers, which is an increase of 15% on the same period last year."

Sargent said that the company was also investing in its future. "We are currently investing $100 million in a new terminal," he said. "This will allow us to handle more passengers and provide a better experience for our customers."

QAC is a major contributor to the New Zealand economy. In the first half of the financial year, it generated $1.1 billion in economic activity and supported 6,000 jobs.

The record interim dividend is a positive sign for QAC and the New Zealand economy. It shows that the company is doing well and that it is investing in its future. This is good news for both shareholders and the wider economy.
