The Miami Heat are headed to the NBA Finals for the first time since 2020 after defeating the Boston Celtics 103-84 in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals on Sunday night.

Jimmy Butler led the way for the Heat with 35 points, 9 rebounds, and 5 assists. Bam Adebayo added 25 points and 12 rebounds, while Tyler Herro scored 14 points off the bench.

The Celtics were led by Jayson Tatum, who had 34 points and 8 rebounds. Jaylen Brown added 26 points, but he shot just 9-of-23 from the field.

The Heat jumped out to a 16-point lead in the first quarter and never looked back. They led by as many as 26 points in the second half.

The Celtics made a late run in the fourth quarter, but it was too little, too late. The Heat held on for the win and the series victory.

This is the first time the Heat have reached the NBA Finals since 2020, when they lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in six games.

The Heat will face the winner of the Western Conference Finals, which is currently tied 3-3 between the Golden State Warriors and the Dallas Mavericks.
