Manchester United Crush Chelsea 4-1 to Secure Champions League Spot

Manchester United secured a place in the Champions League next season with a convincing 4-1 victory over Chelsea at Old Trafford on Thursday night.

The Red Devils were in control from the start and took the lead in the 12th minute through Bruno Fernandes. Anthony Martial doubled the lead just before half-time and Marcus Rashford made it 3-0 after the break.

Chelsea pulled a goal back through Kai Havertz, but Mason Greenwood restored United's three-goal cushion with a late goal.

The win means that United will finish in fourth place in the Premier League, regardless of the results of the other matches this weekend. Chelsea, meanwhile, will finish in fifth place and will have to enter the Europa League next season.

United's performance was a major boost for new manager Erik ten Hag, who will be looking to build on this result when he takes charge of the club next season.

Ten Hag will be particularly pleased with the performance of Fernandes, who was outstanding in the middle of the park. Fernandes scored one goal and created another, and he was a constant threat to the Chelsea defense.

Martial also had a good game, scoring his first goal since January. Rashford and Greenwood were also impressive, and they will be hoping to continue their good form next season.

The win was a major statement of intent from United, who are now looking ahead to next season with renewed optimism. Ten Hag will be hoping that he can build on this result and bring the good times back to Old Trafford.
