Brentford have announced that striker Ivan Toney has signed a new long-term contract with the club.
Toney, 26, joined Brentford from Peterborough United in July 2021 and has been a key player in their rise to the Premier League. He scored 33 goals in 44 appearances in all competitions last season, helping the Bees to finish sixth in the Championship and earn promotion to the top flight.
The England Under-21 international has now committed his future to Brentford by signing a new deal that will keep him at the club until 2027.
"I'm delighted to have signed a new contract with Brentford," Toney said. "I've really enjoyed my time here so far and I'm excited to be part of this club's future.
"We've achieved a lot in the last year, but we're only just getting started. I'm looking forward to helping the team push on and achieve even more in the Premier League."
Brentford manager Thomas Frank said: "We're delighted that Ivan has committed his future to the club. He's been a key player for us since he joined and he's only going to get better.
"He's a top striker and he's got everything you need to be successful in the Premier League. He's strong, he's quick, he's good in the air and he's got a great eye for goal.
"He's also a great character and he's a big part of the dressing room. We're really happy to have him on board for the long term."
Toney's new deal is a major boost for Brentford ahead of their first season in the Premier League since 1947. The Bees will be looking to avoid relegation this season, but with Toney leading the line, they will be confident of competing with the best teams in the country.
