Brits Love Their Tea So Much They Pack It in Their Luggage When They Go on Holiday | #UK #Tea #Holiday
A new survey has found that over half of British people take tea bags with them when they go on holiday. The survey, conducted by online travel specialists lowcostholidays, asked over 1,000 holidaymakers what essentials they need when visiting other countries. Around 55 per cent of them said tea bags.
Other popular items that British people pack for holiday include:
- Toilet paper (48%)
- Fluffy towels (45%)
- Potato chips (40%)
- Bacon (35%)
The survey also found that British people are more likely to pack home comforts when they go on holiday than people from other countries. For example, 25 per cent of British holidaymakers said they would pack their own pillow, while only 15 per cent of people from other countries would do the same.
The survey's findings suggest that British people are very attached to their tea and other home comforts. This is perhaps not surprising, given that the UK is a nation of tea drinkers. According to the Tea Advisory Panel, the average Brit drinks 166 cups of tea per year.
So, if you're planning a holiday to the UK, be sure to pack your tea bags! You never know when you might need a cuppa.
