Ange Postecoglou: The Greek-Australian Manager Who Conquered Europe

Ange Postecoglou is a Greek-Australian professional football manager and former player who is the current manager of Scottish Premiership club Celtic. He is known for his attacking style of play and his ability to get the best out of his players.

Postecoglou was born in Melbourne, Australia, in 1965. He played as a defender for South Melbourne Hellas in the National Soccer League from 1984 to 1996. He also played for the Australia national team, making four appearances between 1988 and 1990.

After retiring from playing, Postecoglou began his coaching career in Australia. He managed South Melbourne Hellas from 1996 to 1999, winning the NSL championship in 1999. He then managed the Australia national team from 2006 to 2013, leading the team to the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

In 2014, Postecoglou moved to Japan to manage J1 League club Yokohama F. Marinos. He won the J. League championship in 2017 and 2018, and the Emperor's Cup in 2019.

In 2021, Postecoglou was appointed manager of Celtic. He won the Scottish Premiership title in his first season in charge, and the Scottish Cup in his second season.
